February 2019, disappointing sales number by auto major across all segments. The sales numbers for automobile majors is declining for February as its challenging times continue. The decline in sales is due to subdued consumer demand sentiment caused by new axle load norms, non-availability of retail finance weigh on commercial vehicle producers, slowing industrial output, tight liquidity, higher interest rate and moderate economic activity ahead of general elections scheduled for April-May. New product launches aiding passenger vehicle and two-wheeler sales. With the upcoming Safety and Crash Test norms coming up in April. It will be interesting to see the reaction, once the norms come into effect.
